Ritambhara Vishva Vidyapeeth sets up Oxygen Covid Beds supported by Big B
Ritambhara Life Care Centre – An oxygen supported Covid19 treatment facility with 25 beds has been set up in conjunction with the BMC, under the aegis of Ritambhara Vishva Vidyapeeth at Malini Kishor Sanghvi College Annexe.
With support from the local MLA Mr Ameet Satam, Corporator Ms Renu Hansraj, along with a group of proactive citizens of Ward 69, it has been all hands on deck for the trustees of Ritambhara Vishva Vidyapeeth for the 2 week set-up of the complete Covid Care Centre. The center offers a wide range of facilities such as Oxygen support, Physiotherapy, Mental Health Counseling and nutritious meals, free of cost alongside tie ups with Pathology Labs and CT Scan centers to provide adequate service at reduced costs or BMC rates. The center looks to serve those battling with Covid 19 from all walks of life and to assure the best treatment. A strong and dedicated medical team has been assembled to provide the needed care to the patients.
The continuous need for beds and the prevalent conditions owing to the pandemic has led the RVV trust to take up this huge responsibility. Being an educational institute, the trust felt its duty to extend all possible aid in the times of this crisis. The trustees have lauded megastar Mr. Amitabh Bachchan and Anand Pandit of the Lotus Foundation for their generous donation which has enabled the realization of the center.
The initial capacity of 25 beds can be expanded if needed. The trust is also considering setting up of a Pediatric ward along with a High Dependency Unit (HDU) ward for people who need intensive observation, treatment and nursing care. This consideration comes in light of the forecasted 3rd wave of the pandemic which may affect children harder.
